We’re Redefining How

Students Learn

And Helping Curious Young Minds Grow Into Ambitious,
Self-Assured Individuals In The Process.

Where Students Come To Fuel Creativity

At The Fox Den Learning, we do learning differently. We live for that “aha moment” when a child’s eyes light up because a lesson finally clicked or they found a passion they’ve fallen in love with!

We’re big on spending time and energy building a solid foundation of education that ignites confidence, creativity, and self-assuredness in our students.

We value steady progress focused on understanding students’ needs, finding the areas where they need the most support, and setting a pace that works best for them. When your child learns with us, we create a customized learning environment built around helping them thrive.

Our Fox Den Core Values

Virtual Lessons From Around The World Directly To Your Home

The Fox Den Learning launched in 2015 as a music school by Alyssa Albano in Toronto, Ontario– with the mission to create a space that encourages children to grow, learn, and have fun!

Alyssa felt passionate about teaching piano and knew there was a gap between students eager to learn and teachers who offered lesson plans built around the pacing, learning style, and input from the students. Knowing that students do their best when they feel heard and that their opinions are valued, she created a space molded by students.

We’ve since expanded beyond piano lessons to incorporate a wide variety of programs and activities for all different types of students.

The Fox Den Learning now has roots all over the world!

I Think Learning Should Be:

Intuitive. Collaborative. Encouraging.

Since starting my teaching career at 16 years old, I’ve come to realize that students learn better when they’re guided by patient and understanding teachers who make lessons fun and engaging.

My why: to give students the kind of support I needed– and found– growing up.

I came from a small rural Canadian town that had limited programs and activities for kids. If you wanted to learn something, you didn't have much choice in who your teachers were and what type of programs you could participate in.

Even from a young age, I could tell that not everyone learned the same way. I was lucky to find a wonderful piano teacher who taught me to prioritize fun and fostering a love of music over progress. When I mentioned to her that I was interested in teaching, she encouraged and guided me! That marked the start of an amazing 15-year career in teaching and uplifting my students.

I am wholeheartedly invested in seeing your child thrive in a positive learning environment. It’s the best feeling in the world knowing I’ve made a positive impact on someone's life– and that will always be a key piece of our foundation.

“Her ability to make music lessons fun and enjoyable is a key factor in keeping the kids engaged.”

"My daughters started with Alyssa in the summer of 2015 when they were 3.5 and 5 yrs old (after a local studio had turned them away because 3.5 yrs old was “too young” to start lessons). Without hesitation, Alyssa welcomed my kids as students and now…6 years later, my daughters are still loving it. The experience that Alyssa provides as a musical mentor has kept the kids engaged and progressing forward every week. The switch to virtual learning due to the pandemic was incredibly seamless and indicative of Alyssa’s commitment to her students to provide a quality learning environment. Her ability to make music lessons fun and enjoyable is a key factor in keeping the kids engaged. I would definitely recommend The Fox Den for music lessons at any age."

 Our “Joyful Learner” Promise

Our mission is simple: To spark a joy of learning and build self-confidence in our students.

The Fox Den Learning is a space where your student can learn and explore at their own pace. We promise to apply supportive and understanding teaching techniques and instill a healthy relationship with learning that embraces curiosity and enriches a child’s education from the ground up.

How Our Teachers Align With Our Values

We take great care in finding high-quality teachers from around the world. While some of our teachers hold Master’s degrees in their fields, others have been practicing their craft since a young age. But no matter their background, all of the teachers that we bring onto our team align with our core values.

Whether you want your child to learn to play the piano, speak a new language, or unlock a world of imagination through reading, your child will be surrounded by enthusiastic and uplifting teachers dedicated to helping them achieve their most ambitious goals.

“I chalk it up to an amazing teacher and an approach to learning that builds confidence as much as skill.”

Our daughter has been taking piano lessons through Fox Den Learning for three years and loves it. The transition to virtual learning was seamless and I am thrilled that she has stayed so engaged. I chalk it up to an amazing teacher – Zoe is the most positive person – and an approach to learning that builds confidence as much as skill.
